Milk/egg free bakery

I am looking for a bakery or private baker that will bake 2 cakes for me. One large mickey mouse clubhouse cake for my son's first birthday (regular recipe) and then one matching smash cake that has to be milk and egg white free. Every bakery I have called does not do it. Does anyone know of a bakery or baker that will do this in suffolk county.

Thanks!!!

Riesterer's in West Hempstead has dairy free cakes, not sure about egg white free cakes.

Madame Butterfly cakes in Babylon Village does vegan cakes. She's definitely on the pricier side...not sure what you're looking to spend.

Did you try Miss Michelle's Urban (?) gourmet in Bayport? I know she does dairy free and GF --- she might be able to do egg free too?

My coworker bought me a vegan cake for my shower at work. I think it was from somewhere in Hicksville. I will ask her and get back to you!

Good to know. To the OP are you sure there is an issue with eggs in baked goods? My son seems to be okay with an egg allergy with eating baked goods because the egg protein that he is allergic to is baked off when cooked at high temps w/ long cooking times. I do look at some cakes and I can tell if there is just too much egg. He does, however, have problems with some kinds of icing and he had a reaction to ice cream before I knew how much egg was in it. However, everyone is different and my son can have very trace amounts of egg. Just be careful. I am not telling you to tempt it. I may try the vegan bakery because sometimes I notice some redness on his cheeks & I think that happens when something that thought had trace eggs had too much.

For my birthday this year, we got a sherbert cake that did not have egg in it. They made it at Baskin Robbins and I thought it was a great idea. They used an egg free icing. I don't think there would be milk in that cake but I guess you would have to be concerned about cross contamination because there is obviously a lot of milk at Baskin Robbins. I just wanted to give you the sherbert idea, though.

Unfortunately many sherberts, including BR, contain dairy.

Ahh, I did a very quick online search before posting but now I see a site that says it does have dairy. I started to write a whole long warning that ice cream contains eggs but then I realized that the OP's child would not have ice cream beause of the milk. My son's egg allergy was the reason we got the sherbert but he is not allergic to milk so we never asked about that. Another LIFer gave me a list of some ice creams that have no egg, but that will not help with a milk allergy. I can find it if there is someone who needs it. I guess I would check with the vegan bakery for a good egg free and milk free option.
