heartbeat at 9 weeks
I have my first appt with my doctor tomorrow. Were you all able to hear the heartbeat for those that went at 9 weeks?

Depends on their equipment I think. With my DD we were with an RE and at our 7w5d sono they turned on the volume and we heard her HB loud and clear. It was awesome! 
I have heard some OBs won't even give you the option to hear the HB until you're further along, around 12 weeks.

i had a ultrasound at 7 weeks and 11 weeks...both time my dr did an internal and showed us the heartbeat...she said she doesnt like to use the doppler (for sound) until after the first trimester...so all doctors are different. but either way you should get to see it or hear it...enjoy!!!

I think I went in at about 10 or 11 weeks (no 9 week appt) and I heard the heartbeat

It depends on the Dr. Some Drs wont let you hear it they will just make sure its there. Dr B has let me hear the HB at every appointment.

i didnt hear the heartbeat at 9weeks but we saw it! a few weeks later at the MFM office we heard the heartbeats

They should be able to hear it with an internal or external sono...probably won't be able to hear it with the doppler yet though.

We first saw/heard (barely heard) the hb at my 6w appt. By 7w it was strong and loud! Both were internal sonos. The first time we heard it with an external sono was at 12 weeks.
