Outfit for after baptism - white or not?
For those who switched their kid out of their fancy outfit after the ceremony..........
Did you make the party outfit white too? or did you use any color?

DD wore her gown for church and then we changed her into a eyelet lace sundress with a white sweater for the luncheon because the air conditioning was cold.
DS had his fancy romper on and then we put him in a onesie with a cross on it b/c it was warm in the restaurant.

ok, with dc#1 we used a white outfit after with a cross on it.......
now with #2 I was wondering if I could get away with a pink dress....... but if the traditional is to remain in something white, then I'll stick to tradition.

I dont think you have to do white! I am really laid back with type of thing and go against these types of traditions on purpose, LOL. Never even realized there was a tradition actually. I changed my DS into a really cute sports outfit because Im not into the sweater vest look.

DD was so hot and uncomfortable in her Christening dress that even a party dress after upset her. We put her in a comfortable cute pink onesie and pant outfit and she was so much better. I never heard of any tradition that you have to keep them in white.
