What time of day to travel on plane with infant?
Were going to florida in March...and DD will be 9 months old then...im booking the flights now and I dont know when is the best time to fly with her? They have night time flight like 9:00 idk if we should do that or morning or afternoon? which have you ladies found was best?

What time of day to travel on plane with infant?
It really depends on your baby but I would not do a 9pm flight with a child.
I flew to Florida with my DD when she was 4 months and 14 months. At 4 months we took an early AM flight and at 14 months we took an early afternoon flight.
Our return flights home were in the early evening.
ETA because I cannot put together a sentence...lol

We recently got back from Florida and we flew with our 9 month old. Going down we took a 9am flight and coming home we had a 2pm flight. DD was much better on the 9am flight.

We took DD to California when she was 10 months old. We booked nighttime flights so she could sleep through them. Both times, though, she was so fascinated and excited by the plane, she didn't sleep for the first 90 minutes or so. We're going to Florida soon and booked early afternoon flights, assuming she'll be happy and excited for pretty much the whole (much shorter) flight. Then we'll have plenty of time to settle in before we do dinner and her normal bedtime routine at her normal time.

It totally depends on your child. DD is way better in the early morning or late evening. When we fly with her in the afternoon it's not nearly as easy. In general I usually book evening flights for us and when forced very early morning flights, but it was total trial and error for us (we fly pretty frequently).

I like to go in the morning. DS is in better spirts and there seem to be less of a chance of delays...

I always hear of nightmare stories of kids not going to sleep on night flights.
I like early morning flights.

It depends on how long the flight is. If it's cross country I would recommend a night flight. Yes, it will take DC some time to fall asleep but eventually they will get tired. If it's just an hour or two I'd go either in the morning or late afternoon after nap time when they are the happiest and won't be stressed about being confined.

early morning flight - LO is up early and more likely to fall asleep on the plane OR fly during LO's scheduled nap time
