Placenta Previa
I was told at my 20 week sonogram that I have full placenta previa. I have my next sonogram on Tues, 6 weeks later, and I am really hoping that my placenta moved so that I do not have to worry any more, and don't have to be on pelvic rest any more. I have been so worried these last 6 weeks and I really hope that it corrected itself. Anyone else dealing with this?

Re: Placenta Previa
i have had this since the very start and have been on pelvic rest since day 1 too
i am now 23 weeks and it has not corrected but do not be discouraged bc it def can change they assured me
it has caused some bleeding issues but they all assured me it would be ok,basically if there was a question as to if i would get a c section which there really was not this cemented it
hope it goes away for you!

Re: Placenta Previa
I was back and forth between low lying and previa for the first 24 weeks of my last pregnancy. My dr. even had me looked at for placenta acretia (worse then previa) too. But by 28 weeks it had completely lifted and I was told that it wouldn't get any lower from that point on. So you definitely have a good chance!

Re: Placenta Previa
I had this with DD. I had full placenta previa at around 20 weeks and by 36 weeks it was marginal. I saw a high risk doctor who said that there was a high chance that I would need an emergency c/s if I tried to deliver naturally and also he said that there would be increased bleeding during delivery as well. I ended up having a scheduled c/s at 36 weeks (I had an amnio the day before to see if the lungs were ready). I hope that everything works out for you

Placenta Previa
i had it too (not full though) and it fixed itself within about 4 weeks.
it goes away on it's own for most people but in the worst case, placenta previa isn't bad for the baby - it just means you'll need a cs rather than vaginal birth. not too terrible

Placenta Previa
I did not have full placenta previa but mine was low and I was put on pelvic rest. Mine did move up within those 5 weeks and I was taken off pelvic rest.

Re: Placenta Previa
I have this, now at 28 weeks still waiting for it to move. Doctor's don't seem too worried, they still think it has a chance to move up.
