MAC counter
I'm throwing a surprise party for my parent's this weekend and wanted to get my amke up done. I don't want to spend a fortune.
I was thinking of going to the MAC counter. I've never done this before, do I make a appt? When I go do I tell them what it is for? How much makeup do I have to buy? Can I reurn the make up after I buy it LOL?

I had to make an appt and buy 50 dollar worth of products. Wasn't bad b/c i bought lip liner, lipstick, gloss, powder and paid for false eyelash application.

if you just walk in and tell them you want to know what color foundation you are...they will put it on you. you can then ask them about eye-makeup etc. they will put it all on you. you don't have to buy anything, but you probably will wind up buying something!
but don't feel obligated to spend a million dollars. they can easily convince you to buy things you don't really need! (or you can buy it and return it LOL)

$50 and you can just go! I had mine done a couple of years ago and went to the one in the city (Harlem to be exact and they are much friendlier than the Roosevelt Field Store). Its still $50 because I am going for my parents anniversary party and called.
