Getting makeup done at MAC counter
I'm going to a wedding and would love to get my makeup done, even thinking about false lashes. I've never done this before. Do I need to make an appointment?

I would do a trial with someone before the wedding. I will never forget passing by a MAC counter and the MAC person was making a clown out of some girl...I mean bold colors and all...I felt so bad for her

I had a HORRIBLE experience where one of the girls had me looking like a drag queen.. after being there for hours and I had her redo and tone it down and spending 200 bucks, the make-up didn't make it past the cocktail hour! lol ETA that I went to the one in Bloomies at RF!
Where do you live? I would go to Sephora! they are really good.

I had a very bad experience at the MAC counter @ Smithaven Mall.... The guy scratched my cornea while putting on my eyeliner and I had to wear a patch for 4 days!
NEVER AGAIN!
oh, let's not forget that I looked like the guy from V for Vendetta on top of that!

I had a great experience with the girl at the mac store in Smithaven. She did my makeup for my friends wedding and it was neutral, not overdone at all. I ended up only spending the required $50 purchase.

OMG some bad experiences! I was going to just have them do a smokey eye, not too much more than that. I don't want to look like a clown and I am horrible at eyeshadow. I'm not in the wedding party, just thought it would be nice to get ny makeup done for a change

petite, thin woman with curly hair, always in a ponytail? I believe her name is Ann - she's fantastic. I definitely recommend her!

my mom does the make up at the Cactus in Stony Brook- she'll do the free makeover with a certain $$ purchase- just like Mac- let me know if you want her info...

I got mine done at the one in Roosevelt Field. I told the woman I dont wear a lot of makeup to begin with.
She did a great job. She didnt require me to spend the $50 since I didnt have alot of makeup on. I came close spending the $50 anyway just buying 3 items.
I did have an appointment.

I had a friend who used to do MU for MAC at RF. She was TERRIBLE at it.... as she's done my MU a few times and it was beyond  your experience reminds me of her "work". In my head I'm picturing the things she did to my face!!! IDK how she even got hired!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Forget about MAC. I think those salespeople are trained to make people look like clowns. I would check out the Bobby Brown counter if your looking for something subtle.
