Pregnancy with PCOS and Endometriosis
I was just wondering...as soon as my DH's insurance kicks in I am going to be seeing an RE to try and figure out WHAT in the world is going on with my body. I KNOW that I have PCOS (and BOY was it a pain in the azz to even get my OBGYN to test for it) but lately with my PAINFUL periods and sometimes painful after periods I am starting to think that I MIGHT have Endo. All the research that I have done really makes me really sad that if I DO have endo it will make it REALLY hard to get pregnant. I am gonna be 33 in November and I know that's not really old, if I want to have more than one and I don't want to have them back to back I am gonna have to start soon. I think that the insurance will take care of some IUI's but I don't think we will be able to afford IVF. Basically I was just wondering if there was anyone on here that was able to get pregnant with naturally or with IUI having PCOS and Endo.

Re: Pregnancy with PCOS and Endometriosis
I have endo stage IV, which is the worst kind and I got pregnant only after IVF. Having painful periods is not enough reason to think you have endo, you can only truly diagnose it thru surgery. Some pple don't even have symptoms and have endo so symptoms alone is not a good indicator! Please don't stress yourself out thinking of the worse case senarios. Once you start seeing an RE you will get more answers. Good luck

Re: Pregnancy with PCOS and Endometriosis
I have moderate endo which was found during lap surgery to remove a large cyst from my ovary. In my case, both were causing issues with conceiving but after the surgery I was able to get pregnant on my own. I wouldn't worry about whether or not you have endo until you speak with an RE but I will say it is definitely possible to get pregnant while having it. Avoid google because when I was first diagnosed, it scared the crap out of me.

Pregnancy with PCOS and Endometriosis
I have PCOS and Endo....I had a laparascopy surgery in March to remove Endo. Waited till I got my period, then took Clomid and did IUI that 1st cycle the month after surgery and I got pregnant!
We tried for many many months before that and nothing, but as soon as I had the surgery and took one dose of Clomid...BAM I got pregnant!
So don't worry, it may not be as hard as you think. Good luck!
