What age are you looking for and how many days? I used to work there 8 years ago before I got a teaching job and definitely recommend them. There are still the same women in the infant room since I left. FM me if you'd like.

Re: tutor time holbrook prices? quality?

It depends how many days a week. The more days the lower the rate per day.

I called about 2 years ago and I think it was $90 a day for 3 days a week.

We ended up going with a certified in home daycare b/c it was half the price.

I have been in the facility for other reasons besides my DS childcare, but my experience with the director and teacher were positive.

I would feel very comfortable sending my child there. Loved the staff and the program.

To send in infant 2x per week would cost $231. Which is pretty close to $1K a month.

Re: tutor time holbrook prices? quality?

The pricing will depend on the age of your child and how many days a week you plan to use.

I cannot say enough about this place.
My DD has been there since 8 weeks old and never once did I worry or have a second thought about her care there.
The place is clean, extremely well supervised, they follow rules and regulations to the T, the teachers are all amazing and so loving.

My DD gets hugs and kisses from her teacher when I drop her off in the morning - you can tell they really care about the kids.
Every room she has been in so far from the infant to the toddlers has been great.

When she was in the infant room, I felt like I was leaving her with a family member- the teacher in that room is just SOOO amazing and experienced with babies and just puts you right at ease.

I think you will love it!

Re: tutor time holbrook prices? quality?

DS goes here and I love it. He's been there since he was 3 months old and he is now 3 1/2. If there are issues I can talk to someone and it's taken care of immediately. Everyone there just about knows the names of everyone there. It's amazing, teachers who aren't even in his room ever know who he is. The teachers are great. The only issue is the pay for them sucks so there can be a high turnover rate especially for the recent grads who eventually get a job they want, but then there are people who are there forever.

Like everyone said price depends on # of days, age of child. When I looked 4 years ago, I looked at 3 other childcares and Tutor time I like the best and it actually was the cheapest.

I am looking for my 3 y/o son.

I would ideally like a part time program, like 4 hours a day or something. Price is a factor, my kids used to go to a daycare we loved but we pulled them out because of price and they only had full time hours, which i just do not need.

Do they even offer a part time program- or do i pay for 10 or 12 horus of care per day even if my child is there for only 4 hours?

Yes, part time would be 4 1/2 hours.

that is really really expensive actually. My kids used to go to stony brook, and it was technically not that expensive. it was 304 biweekly for 2 full days. (this is about 7.60$/hour)

Ymca is 390$/month for 5days (2.50hours/day) so for 4 weeks this is about $7.80/day

So for 3 days at 4.5 hours a day we have 13.5 hours a week at 206/week? so $15.25/hour? For one child? Lol- i can hire someone in my home to watch both kids for that money.

this is the most expensive place i have ever encountered and I toured A LOT of places- i have never seen such an expensive breakdown.

Briarwood montessori is even cheaper than this.

Re: tutor time holbrook prices? quality?

If you go part time it's really expensive. i remember looking into and asking them point blank, why would i pay you $15-$16 per hour to watch my child when the ratio at the time was 8 or 9 to 1. When you don't even pay your staff $10 an hour.

For full time it is more in line with other places, but part time was way too much money IMO. We found other alternatives where I paid just about the same amount per month, that they charge per week for part time.

Re: tutor time holbrook prices? quality?

I currently work at the TT in nesconset for several years now and my son started in Sept. I started him 9-12 3 days a week for those hours its 27$ a day we eventually moved him to 3 full days.
It's not to far from SB and we have many of there kids after they closed.
Just another option

Re: tutor time holbrook prices? quality?

Tutor Time is expensive. Personally I couldn't justify the cost and since I work nights I was going to just work around DHs schedule. I found a place in Bohemia I like that is much more affordable but is fairly new. We thought of hiring a baby sitter to watch LO in our house. The only down side to that is if he/she gets sick, we are stuck. I know that at daycare I'm only stuck if my LO is sick. And I also know she will be in activities as it is run like a school, so she will be stimulated even as an infant. It's a tough decision to make. And price is a big factor. Good luck. If bohemia works for you let me know, I'll give you the contact info. the name of hte place is tender years.

I suppose it is, but it's worth it to know she's in great hands with a loving staff. I toured many other places and would not enroll her just because it was cheaper. There are many cheaper places out there. Have to do what you're comfortable with. For me the peace of mind is worth every penny!

ETA: A full day isn't much more expensive than a half day.

You pay a premium to have a kid in for a half day. Chances are they cannot fill the other half of day and therefore is a loss to them. Many places will not do half days for this reason. Because of this the prices seem high.

They are not even NAEYC accredited, all the other facilities i looked at and considered were. I just do not want to drive far, i am tired of driving from Patchogue to Stony Brook especially since school is now over for me and DD got into universal pre-k.

I will probably just do a crazy schedule and put DS in the Y as i dont see anything else nearby.

Ill go tour Kiddie Kampus in bayport see if they have everything.

If the Y didnt run their schedule parallel to the universal preK it would be great but otherwise i dont know how to be in two places at once.
