Things for baby (essentials)
Ok so i have less than a month to go and I need to purchase some last minute items. I'm not talking the big stuff, but the at home essentials:
So far i have bottles, wipes, diapers, clothing, hooded towels, baby bath products
am i missing anything else I should have the first couple of weeks?

Acetametaphen! You can only give tylenol (no advil) before 6 m.
Waterproof pads for use on the changing table / floor / ottoman / etc. to change on (I have different sizes and layers that I used so if DD peed/pooped on one layer, I'd just strip it off.
A diaper supplies basket is great for going from one room to another.
A&D ointment. Baby wash of some sort (we use cetaphil, though, because DD's skin is so bad). Baby comb / very soft bristle brush for cradle cap.
Washcloths and bibs with a "bubble" to prevent milk from dribbling under the chin and causing a rash too.

Just steal the chucks from the hospital. That's what we used for all the poopy diaper changes.

Are you BFing or FFing? There are different "must have" items depending on which route you take.

Find a local BFing group (most hospitals have them, and I know of at least one OB's office that hosts one as well). The first couple of weeks are hard, and support from other nursing moms will be a HUGE help.
If you're not a group person, own (or borrow) The Womanly Art of Breastfeeding. Tons of great info in there, and should be able to answer most questions, especially at 3am when there's no one around.

Re: Things for baby (essentials)
sounds crazy, but id also pick up a breast pump. If there are any issues with breast feeding, this will be come your best friend. Helps with milk supply, also helps with the nipples if there are any issues.

Thank you thank you ladies, i pretty much bought everything on the list. FYI BRU has a 15% off all breast pumps and I found the disposable breast pads 100 box by lanolin for $12 at target (much cheaper than BRU even with coupon)

If you can, I would wait to buy the pump until the sale ends. Then you can use a 20% off coupon and get a better price!

I've received 20% coupons but for some reason they won't give me the 20% off the pumps :(
