what bank allows you to cash checks the same day
not sure if this makes sense?
looking for a bank that when i can cash the check that day. for example. when i goto my credit union, it takes 3 days to clear.
i need to be able to cash a check and get the money sooner, if that makes sense.

I know with Chase it usually takes a day to clear. I think it may also have to do with how much $ you have in the bank.

I think if you have that amount of money in the bank already you can cash it, otherwise there is a hold.
If you need it same day, you might have to do a check cashing place.

Go to the bank where the check is from... Your paycheck comes from Chase, open an account with them.

i bank with Chase, and if your paycheck if from Chase, they will deposit your check as cash into your checking/savings account for you.
no matter what bank you bank with, if you have lets say $1000 in your savings account, and your paycheck is for $1000 then they will cash you check against your savings to deposit as cash into your checking account.
I used to be with TD Bank years ago and they used to be able to cash a portion of your check that day and then the rest would clear the next business day. Not sure if that has changed in the years since i have used them.

TD cashes my checks in 1 day
keep in mind when you switch banks they hold the checks for 7 days for the first 30 days- generally
you best bet is probably to go to the bank where the check is from and cash it

TD charges $15 to cash one of their checks if you don't have an account there !! I personally think its crazy and am happy I left them.
I have an account at Bethpage credit account and they are very good about same day/ next day availability

I use Bank of America I use the atm machine to deposit a check if you put it in before 8pm they clear $300 right away and the rest but the next morning it is cleared the next morning. But if you deposit on saturday or sunday it still gives you the $300 but the rest isn't clear until tuesday.

I use Chase and if is less than $100 it is available immediately. If it is more, they clear $100 and the rest is available the next business day.
