hcg levels

im confused. some places i hear/read that after a mc or D&C in my case, your levels must return to 0 before you ovulate and therefor ttc.
other places say below 5. how is there a different answer?

i had blood taken before the d&c but never got told my levels. had blood 2 wks after and was told the dont compare it to athe other blood since it is a different scenario. it will def be less than the first time since the procedure was done. if its not zero or negative (which btw i dont understand) then i go every week to monitor it.

got my results and my levels are not ar zero.... should i be worried? i KNOW i am a self diagnoser and a crazy nut job at that but i just want this to be over and i want to feel like im normal again.

PLUS i want this baby!

I think technically a beta over 5 is pregnant. Your dr should be checking to make sure you level goes below 5 to 0. If it is still high it could indicate that not all tissue was removed. It could take a while for your body to get back down to 5. I think by a week and a half or two after I was back to zero. Good luck.

i was told by my RE that it had to drop below 5. i'm sure yours will drop soon. good luck!
