Am I the only one who doesn't take prenatals
I am just so damn nauseas after I take them. Even the gummy ones. I try to get in 3 days of them a week. Am I so horrible? I'm starting to feel terrible.

Have you tried taking them before bed? Since I heard a lot of people get sick from them, I decided to take them at night (when I eat) and they don't make me sick.
Don't feel terrible. I'm sure taking them 3 days is better than not even taking them at all.

Have you tried other brands of them? My friend had to try about 5 different ones before she finally found one she could tolerate.
As PP suggested, you could also try taking them with food / at different times of the day.
It doesn't make you a bad person not to take them though obviously it's better for you and the baby if you do.

Re: Am I the only one who doesn't take prenatals
My dr told me that since I am eating to not worry too much and that I am getting nutrients and not to get upset over it. I did before bed and then when I'd wake up to pee in the middle of the night I'd be up nauseas. I guess I can just try doing it again and not drinking as much water. Last pregnancy I was so strict with them. I didn't have tuna, soft cheese, caffeine,or any diet sodas, nothing. This pregnancy I am so different. I feel so bad. But with my first I was NEVER sick.

You really want to try to get the folic acid and DHA which you're probably getting "some" of through foods but not as much as you need in pregnancy. Try a different brand, that might help.

I think you really need to try different brands then. It's very important to take them. Talk to your ob and see what they recommend, they may suggest other supplements if the prenatals make you sick...

ITA with the other posters. I had to try many different types and different times of day to not get sick from them. Now I take prescription Vitafol-One which is a vegetarian single pill with DHA in it and I take it right before bed. Last pregnancy, I took prenate essential with DHA. Talk to your OB and they should be able to give you a ton of samples to try. Something will work!

Another vote for Vitafol-One. Ask your Ob for a Rx.

Re: Am I the only one who doesn't take prenatals
I'm crashing but wanted to say please try to find one brand that works best for you and take it regularly! I just had my DS and while pg, I came up at risk for open neural tube defects. All the doctors and specialists wanted to know I was getting the right vitamins and nutrients esp folic acid. I'm just trying to show how important it is. I know I would have been devestated if i didn't take enough folic acid and my baby had a problem.
