injections
Does anyone have tips or tricks for subq injections? ie: videos on how to, etc? I have to call my RE this week...we start injections in 8 days and they haven't given any instructions yet! Feeling like we wont know what to do! Any info is appreciated. TIA!

SubQ is a really small needle, so the first thing is that visually, it is so much less horrifying than Intramuscular/IM injections
Second, having a nurse show you and practice with you is wonderful- there is nothing like the human touch. In the past (not for IF) I had to take an injection weekly, so at first, I practiced a lot on a firm (non-ripe) tomato, and used water as a drawing liquid.
Breathe, relax, practice. You'll see it's not as big a deal as you thought. Good Luck!

If you go to Freedom Fertility Pharmacy website they have videos that show you that were really helpful for us when we started, good luck!

Once I knew what meds I was taking, I watched a you tube video. The thought of them are much worse. They are small needles and once you do the first one, you will be a pro! Good luck!

exactly this! i searched for videos on youtube once i knew what meds i was taking, it made the anticipation of not knowing what to expect alot better. After the first day or two i was a pro at giving myself the shots.

Don't freak out. I am sure a nurse will show you what you need to do. At my CD 20 appointment, they showed me everything I needed to know. After that, they will be totally easy to do. Like the other posters said, there are a lot of youtube videos.
