Toddler Moms - Winter jackets and snowsuits?
Which ones are you getting? I looked at Lands End and it just makes me sick to shell out so much for a jacket she'll wear for one season.

We got the Squall 3-in-1 grow along in the spring during their clearance.
ETA - maybe buy 1 size big so you get 2 seasons out of it?

I get the Childrens Place 3 in 1 Jacket each year. I think I end up paying around $30 - it's fantastic!
For Snowpants, I ordered a pair last year from Target which should fit again this year.

Re: Toddler Moms - Winter jackets and snowsuits?
Ive gotten DS the GAP warmest jacket (so comfy and warm!) and I just get snow pants from Old Navy to match. I also bought them big and adjusted the strap - it fits him for this season as well!
I will say the Lands End one is amazing!!! DS had one (hand me down) and we all loved the coverings for the hands on the sleeve - it kept DS hands warm when it was cold but not too cold for gloves (and bc he never kept them on)

Re: Toddler Moms - Winter jackets and snowsuits?
I bought the gap warmest on sale last year. I don't buy snow pants, I put waterproof pants over sweats. We don't stay out in the snow that long

DS gets the 3-1 from Walmart $25. He's gotten one for the last 3 years now. Wears the inside in the fall, both in the winter, outside in the spring. No snowpants. A pair of wind pants on the outside, PJ's and sweats on the inside.

Re: Toddler Moms - Winter jackets and snowsuits?
I buy lands end b/c it's thin enough for the carseat, they are comfortable - but it's still crazy warm -
Wait until they have a sale. Usually it's a 40% off w/ free shipping.
I got Colin a Children's Place coat last year on clearance - I paid $12 for the same coat they are now selling for $65 - I'm not AS crazy about CP as I am Lands end - but for $12 .......I bought him his 'own' rather than his brother's hand me down

Re: Toddler Moms - Winter jackets and snowsuits?
DS will be 3 this Fall. We bought him a Columbia jacket with snowpants last year for about $100. Quality of the jacket was great but of course it didn't snow so we didn't need snow pants.
I haven't tried it on yet but I think (hope) that it fits again this year. He's a big boy but his growth slowed down quite a bit.
DH saw the same exact jacket/snow pants at Century 21 last month for like $40! Guess bc it's last year's model but at this price its a steal, jacket and pants are great!
Was not a fan of the Gap warmest jacket 2 yrs ago (didn't compare to how good the previous years' one was) so didn't buy it last year.

Re: Toddler Moms - Winter jackets and snowsuits?
I love the lands end squall jacket... I agree with pp, get it on sale. Also, it may last for two years. DD's was a little big last year and I'm sure it will still fit this year. Its the only one that I'm comfortable putting her in the carseat with.
For snow pants - go cheap - target, walmart, old navy

Re: Toddler Moms - Winter jackets and snowsuits?
I bought at the end of last season for this winter. I bought my older son a winter jacket from Rothschild and a snowsuit from Kohls. I also am a big fan of the North Face fleeces. They aren't cheap but they hold up really well and and are warm enough to use for a while.
