Support Group?

Hi ladies,
Its been a little over a month since my ectopic pregnancy and I am all of a sudden more and more depressed than I was when it happened. I'd like to find a support group or something to talk about it.
does anyone know of anything like this? I am in Suffolk county- Bay shore to be exact.
Any help would be appreciated.

Support Group?

There are a whole bunch of us in Suffolk - we got together a couple weeks ago at John harvards and it was so great to be able to openly tell our stories and bounce some advice off one another- we should plan another!! Maybe next month? I planned the last one and don't mind planning it again.

Re: Support Group?

Just make sure before you go to a support group that it's geared towards losses similar to yours. I've had many losses, ranging from a chemical to 17wks. I went to a support group last year, and felt SO out of place. It was a pregnancy and infant loss support group and many people were parents of still borns, etc.. They had pictures of their babies. I felt like that particular group was more gear towards the later term losses and made me feel very uncomfortable - or as though my experiences were less significant. I found it did more harm than good. So, like I said, just do your research first! Chat Icon Support groups could be a GREAT way to meet other people you could identify with and vent off some frustrations - provided it's the right group.

Yes- I would love to go! Let me know when. Because of my work schedule it would have to be a weekend though :(
That might be a pain in the arse in the planning process
