Where can I rent a room to have my DS's first birthday party?

Where can I rent a room to have my DS's first birthday party?
We really wanted to have his party at the aquarium but went there today to meet with someone and it's just way to expensive!
So we were going to try to just rent a room somewhere (with tables and chairs) and just order all the food and do decorations ourselves to save some money and be able to invite more people.
I know there is the Knights of Columbus and VFW halls...anyone rent there and know what they charge or how to find out where they are located?
Any other ideas of where to rent a room or ideas for where to have a party? It's in November...so anything outdoors is out! Thanks!!!
ETA: Must be in Suffolk County.

I had my daughters christening at the Bohemia rec center they are priced fairly. it was $375 for me but for non residents I believe it's $100 more. They provide tables and chairs up to 100 people. There is a kitchen with a stove and fridge. Hope this helps. Good luck
