All money. No bonds. For #3.

My older kids (they are 6 and 8) did get bonds for their Baptism though!

about 1/3 of his gift money was bonds. I will be cashing it in soon and putting it to better use.

Money, thank goodness because I am actually getting better interest on it! He did get one bond from my in laws though.

I was told there are NO MORE paper bonds so you will have to set up a treasury direct account. I hear it's a PITA to set up though. Cash is best. Bonds don't pay much anyway

Probably 50/50, but that was 2 years ago. Like PP said, you can't just walk into a bank and buy a bond anymore. So you probably won't see anyone getting bonds anymore.

In 2010 it was split evenly. This past August it was all money & no bonds.
