Zofran ladies
When do you take it? My doc said I could take it 2 times a day. Am I supposed to take it at set times or when I start to feel sick? They didn't give me any guidelines for it and I really need to start taking it.

Re: Zofran ladies
My doc told me I could take it 3x a day. I took it once at work and it made me so drowsy that now I only take it at night. It seems to last WAY longer than they said it would for me so once at night and I feel much better than I had been. I still feel somewhat queasy some days but not nearly as bad as had I not taken it.

Re: Zofran ladies
I only took it once a day because it made me extremely constipated (sorry tmi) .. I actually had to skip days and suffer with throwing up everyday because I didnt know what was worse for me. but your prescription should have the directions on it .. mine says take every 12 hours as needed.

I took mine only in the morning, I found that was all I needed. Everyone is different.

i only took mine if I woke up very very sick and nauseous or once I started throwing up. It only took 20-30 minutes for it to kick in, so I'd take it and lay in bed until it started working. I used to cut the pills in half and take a half a dose instead of a full one. I usually managed to just take it once a day, but sometimes would take it 2x.

Re: Zofran ladies
I actually asked the same question a while back. What ended up working for me was taking it before the nausea kicked in because once it started it never went away, it just got worse and worse. I'd cut the pills in half and take half upon waking and half after work.

I only took it on the days when I felt there was no way I was making it through my train ride. I didn;t care if I threw up at work but I was terrified of puking on the train.

My doctor said I could take it up to 3 times a day. I used to take it 3 times a day and now I mostly take it at night before I go to bed. Its gets me through the whole night as well as the next day. I still have days when I may need to take one in the afternoon but that's rare now. I found it would kick in within 15 min or so! It was def a blessing for me!

Re: Zofran ladies
Thanks everyone! I called my doc today and they said I could take it 2x a day, 8 hours apart. I think I'm going to take it at 7 in the morning and then again around 4. Hopefully that will cover me for the day.
