as long as you can give them the time you were there and maybe even the information off your receipt they will know who rung you up and it will be easy for them to figure out who the other cashier was.

It sounds like one of those John Quinones, What Would You Do? moments. As a mom to a child who is not typical this story makes me so sad. I absolutely would want someone to stick up for my sweet little boy if employees started making fun of him.I too am like you wherein I hate unplanned confrontations (not a huge fan of planned ones either!) but it doesnt sound like you were the only one that was quiet either. I would write a letter. I did the same when I complained about a Stop and Shop employee whose name I didnt get. They were able to figure out who it was. Thanks for mentioning it was Centereach. I live close by. I feel like going in there, filling my cart with 100 things, have her price check them all and then not take anything. I'd also make sure DS spilled his juice on her too as we left
Ugh! Since working at micheal's I realize what a pain this is. Had one lady come return like two baskets full of stuff. Then right behind her a very flaky mom with 3 kids went through a full basket declining half of it outright then when I was done ringing her up she told me to take off half of it.
No skin off my nose at ALL! but the rest of the store coworkers were groaning I could hear them on my radio in my ear "are you kidding me, we have to put all crap back does she know that?" I just kept smiling.
Every item goes back to where it came from (or close if its me ) I'm sure the holiday season is going to make it so much worse.
So just think twice before thinking you are hurting the cashier with handing her stuff to put back. She probably doesnt care since the whole STORE puts the stuff back.
If you want to piss off a cashier, you can try these:
Question EVERYTHING "but its on sale, I promise, I won't go show you, you should know"
Bags: Don't put them all in the same bags, I like no more than 3 items per bag.  (seriously wth?)
Order: no, can you put it so all the same stuff is all together on my receipt so I can see it easier.. just take it off and put it back on dear (says the old lady)
No tag: Oh so nothing I bought you has a scan 
Purchase regret (give or take really). You get to the end and swipe your card and say "oh no wait, I decided i don't want that" or wait until totalled and BEFORE swipping your card say "take that, that and that off" then sit and ponder each one and at the end seriously consider the shade of wall while not completing your purchase. (I had a manager come over and ask if everything was ok, any questions. Oh no, she's fine, but can't decide if she wants to purchase it yet)

I tweeted them and they told me to email [email protected].
I emailed them yesterday and gave all receipt info (register and transaction #) and outlined the entire incident.
I also returned all my purchases to the commack location and ordered from costumecraze.com.
I told them that I'm not looking for anything and obviously they can't fix the past incident but that I was disgusted.
Will be sending hard copy to store and regional manager.
Will update you all with any info if they ever get back to me.

Contact corporate. Tell them the time and location with details. I'm sure it will be addressed. I know I would have opened my mouth but not everyone is like that. But contacting corporate office will hopefully get that addressed. Btw, the other cashier is also a b itch for laughing at all.
