What the heck are we getting?
Is it a hurricane?
Tropical Storm?
No'r Easter?
Just really high winds and big trouble if you are on the shore?
I have no idea what we are supposed to expect or when it is supposed to hit, the are 712 news stories and they are all different!

On the upside we wont have to worry about Christmas shopping this year....

I think there are a million different news stories because they just don't know. So essentially, prepare for the worst hope for the best?
I tend to NOT be an alarmist, but I'm getting a bit nervous. DH, on the other hand, is like 'eh'.
I also think it depends where you are, even within the NY area. For Irene my ILs on the South Shore were evacuated and their street had terrible flooding. They came to us in Queens where we didn't even lose power for a second and basically had some wind and rain.
