After a miscarriage...
I just miscarried (actually am still in the process of miscarrying) at 5 and a half weeks and had some questions for others who have been through it:
1. How long did you bleed? I have been bleeding for 2 weeks already. I feel like I can't move on until it stops. My doctor said it can be another month of bleeding.
2. How long did you wait before trying again? My doctor said we should probably wait until I have a period after the miscarriage stops.
3. How did you know how much to exercise? My doctor said to take it easy while bleeding, and only to do "light exercise." I'm not quite sure what that means.
Any help would be appreciated!

Re: After a miscarriage...
first off, i'm really sorry. my heart goes out to you. i'm here if you need anything.
i had my miscarriage at about 7 weeks. my doctor gave me the methotrexate injection for my ectopic pregnancy. i bleed for about 2 weeks after the shot. i waited about 2 months before trying again. i wanted my folic acid levels to get back to normal before trying. i also have long cycles so it took me awhile to ovulate again. after my first real period after my miscarraige is when i felt back to normal and was exercising again. i hope this helps.

Re: After a miscarriage...
Sorry for your loss.
I was 13 weeks and had to take cytotec to actually miscarry but i was bleeding/spotting for 3 weeks before that. After I actually miscarried, i think I bleed for another 2 weeks. i got AF a month to the day I miscarried and we were able to start trying right after that.
I exercised by walking on the treadmill and light elliptical work while I was still having the miscarriage because it took me soo long to go through it, I needed an outlet to get some of my frustrations out. nothing hard core or anything just a nice walking pace and if i felt any pain/discomfort I stopped immedietly. You know your body and if you feel ready to exercise just work into it slowly.

Re: After a miscarriage...
I also mc around 5w.
1. How long did you bleed? about 1 week. first few days were heavier then normal, the rest was just like a regular AF.
2. How long did you wait before trying again? we were supposed to wait one cycle but since I have PCOS and didn't get my period regularly we waited about a month and then started treatment again with the RE. i didnt bleed between the mc and starting the meds for ovulation but in retrospect my lining that cycle wasn't great so I probably should have done a round of provera.
3. How did you know how much to exercise? I wasn't told to take it easy so from what I remember I did my normal routine (which isn't that strenuous to begin with). But at that point I wasn't hitting the gym as much as I used to anyway and I was so sad I'm not sure that I really did much.

Re: After a miscarriage...
I had a miscarriage approximately 6 weeks ago.
I bled for 4 days. By the 4th day, my hormone levels were negative.
My DR said we could wait one cycle before we begin trying again.
I didn't exercise while I bled, so I imagine light exercise is anything that isn't high intensity (like cardio, running, elliptical, etc).
