November Babies - 1 Year Old Birthday Party Ideas

Hi All,

I cant even believe its time for me to plan my little man's one year birthday party -- would love any tips or ideas you may have for a 1 yr old's party. Looks like we'll be appx 50-60ppl, including kids. Id likely be doing it in Queens or Nassau. Would love to hear how you celebrated your LO's 1st bday!

DS is also born in November we had it at a catering hall with entertainment. We had about 70 ppl including kids. Have fun. It's so much fun to plan!

Thanks for sharing. May I ask what kind of entertainment you went with -- DJ or a character? He's 1 so not exactly "into" any specific character yet but he loves music so Im leaning in that direction.

I did have a dj but chose to only have them play background music. It was mostly popular music and them some kids requested some choreographed dance music. I didn't want it to be the main focus of the party. I also hired Nick the Balloonatic -AMAZING-, a face painter and a caracature artist. Everyone loved everything. They were all really great but I think that Nick was the biggest hit! I didn't want to do a character either. Let me know if you need any contact info, I still have it all

We are having the party in a recreation center that rents out a room. We are having about 50 people. My parents and sister are cooking. I already ordered a cake from Shelly Cakes (great cakes by the way). We are doing a minnie mouse 1st birthday theme. I am doing a dessert table with the cake, minnie cookies, chocolate covered marshmellows, and cupcakes. I love planning parties so I am very excited for this one. We are not having a DJ we are going to play music with ipod speakers. I am having someone do face painting.

Having a brunch- breakfast food and lunchy food... for 70 people including kids! and hired little people entertainment- puppet show, singing and dancing, face painting, balloon sultpting, cotton candy and a character! and i think im going to do a candy dessert buffet table!!!! can't believe november is almost here!!!!!! yippie!1

Hi my sil used them and it was a cute puppet show a little cheesy but my little one loved it!!! They did tons of puppet and did a sing a long!!! And cotton candy, facepainting, ballOon sculpting, and a choice of a charater to show up for 350

November Babies - 1 Year Old Birthday Party Ideas

Our party is next weekend and it is a Detroit Tiger's theme. That is also what his nursery is. We will have orange/blue/gray streamers and balloons, a Tiger's cake, cracker jack's, cotton candy, hot dogs, coney dogs, chips, beer, pop, pasta salad, baked beans, and veggies/dip. We asked people to wear their Tiger's gear if they had any. It's a simple party of about 20.

we had DS bday at once upon a tree top in plainview it was AWESOME! i had kids attending of all ages and it was perfect for everyone. they have a toddler area which was great for the little ones and i loved how organized the party was. There was plenty of room for the adults and even the adults were playing in all of the different rooms (go to once upon a tree top's website for pics) definitely a memorable 1st bday!!!!
