Play kitchen-kindergarten age girl

My DD got a Disney kitchen when she was two- and she's tall for her age so she now towers over it. But she still plays with it. She says she wants a bigger one for Christmas, and I'm willing to get it for her, but I wonder how long she'll keep playing with it. Any feedback? I've seen some nice ones and I don't mind spending $$ if she's going to be into it for a few more years.

I don't think you can go wrong with the Step 2 kitchens. We have had one for a long time, and my 5.5 year old still plays with it.

What about getting her real kids sized cooking utensils and signing her up for a cooking class. I am not sure if you will get years of play from a play kitchen, but I did see a really nice one for Ag type dolls in the constructive playthings catalogue.

I don't know, my friends kids are 7 and 11 and they play with ours whenever they are over so I would get it, maybe one of those wooden ones?

Thanks everyone! My neighbor whose son is 10 still plays with his younger sisters when he thinks his mom's not looking. Chat Icon I found a cute one at IKEA of all places- it's on legs so if needed down the line we can prop it up a little. She's had the Disney Princess kitchen since she was 2 and she towers over it now. Chat Icon External Image
