Re: need alot of help with reallllly gross gastro issues please
When did you have your dc? I had major issues with my stomach.intestines after having my DC that lasted about a year. No cause could be found. I did get tested for C diff.
Were you tested for that, especially if you had a csection>?

Sometimes- actually a LOT of times- pregnancy can lead to gallstones. Maybe ask to be checked for that?
FWIW I have horrendous gas too- and I find that a daily probiotic- like Align- has really been a God send with the intestinal issues I have had.

Re: need alot of help with reallllly gross gastro issues please
I had/have similar issues. I had DS by c-section as well. I have been on nexium for a few years now. BUt even on the nexium I had intense stomach pains. Thought it was fruit I was eating stopped eating fruits for a couple of days still had issues. Kept trying to narrow down foods that triggered it. Went back to my gastro had an ultrasound and endoscopy. Everything came back normal as well. I was tested to for H pylorei, they also checked my gallbladder and everything came back normal. I haave a small hiatal hernia, but nothing they can really do for it. It has gotten better the last few months. Not having as many attacks. Still get some, but not nearly as many. I do still take the nexium and sometimes I will take tums or pepto or tagament with the nexium and it definitely helps.

My stomach issues were never as extreme as yours are right now but I know for a fact that the acid reducer you are taking now started to make my symptoms worse!
I now take Aciphex and my brother takes Dexilant (Same family)
Maybe try switching and see id that helps?
GL hope you find some relief

Re: need alot of help with reallllly gross gastro issues please
I have had the same problems minus the gas.. I have severe IBS (for over 20 years), severe reflux (15 years), and chronic nausea... I was on Nexium until my 5th month of pregnancy then ended up in the ER with what I thought was a heart attack..Ended up having a severely inflamed esophagus and gastritis (inflamed intestinal tract). Was put on Zantac 150 everyday. DS is now 3 and everything is far worse now. I go through flare ups every month and I can't eat anything for days... I have had my gall bladder ruled out, it was the first thing I had tested.. They now think it is delayed gastric emptying.... I am on Protonix and Zantac 150 every day... I think from being huge while preggo and the c-section, things moved around in there and all of my issues just got worse!!!

Re: need alot of help with reallllly gross gastro issues please
Align really really helps. In fact I'm out of it and I've been suffering too.
Unfortunately, the next step is the gastric emptying. Sorry you are suffering.
I would ask him to switch your reflux meds. Can't hurt to try a different formula.

need alot of help with reallllly gross gastro issues please
I've had the same problems since i was pregnant with my ds 3 years ago. Ive been though so many tests...sonograms, hida scan, endoscopes, colonoscopies and nothing showed up. I even switched doctors.
They are basically telling me that it's ibs and that stress is triggering my symptoms. I get horrible gas, terrible tasting burps and farting like crazy which keeps me up at night, pain in my upper stomach area, diarrhea, nausea and bloating.
It has mde my life miserable when theses attacks happen because I can't even work. I also have gerd and an on omeprozole. Doc also gave me Levsin and suggested I take align.
I hope you get answers. I know how u feel

Re: need alot of help with reallllly gross gastro issues please
I feel for you!
Please, please, insist on a HIDA scan (the nulear test which shows your gallballder fucntion). I had the SAME symptoms as you. My fancy-schmancy Garden City doctor ordered all sorts of imaging, colon/ednoscopies, etc, and was ready to put me in for exploratory surgery!
Thank God I got another opinion! My symptoms were not classic gallbladder symtoms, either.
In the interim, Please get yourself some fennel tea. I hate herbal teas, but this - with a little honey or agave - is very palatable and is the ONLY thing which can calm down my tummy. It is great for IBS (with constipation or with diarrhea). Some small grocery shops have it, or else you will have to go to health food store, Do it, do it, do it. There is no reason to suffer with gas and feel so gross.
Good luck! Please PM me any time.

Re: need alot of help with reallllly gross gastro issues please
Also, just wanted to add that celiac is a funny one to test for. Only the most severe cases show up on blood work and during endoscopies.
I tested negative for celiac, yet when I eliminated gluten on my own (when I was grasping at straws when my doctors had no clue what was going on), my entire health picture changed dramatically. I had energy, less "brain fog," etc, and felt amazing. A doctor I saw subsequently explained that celiac is hard to test for; something on Dr. Oz about a month ago explained this very well.

Re: need alot of help with reallllly gross gastro issues please
I'm going through alot of stomach issues at the moment also. I have no desire to eat, lost weight & just feel like crap most of the time. I've just begun to have all the tests done. My pain was so bad this week I thought I was going to have to go to the ER. I'm going to try the fennel tea.
