Is it too late to buy a frozen turkey?
We've been so busy that we haven't done any food shopping for Thanksgiving dinner. I plan on going after work tonight. Is it too late to buy a frozen turkey? I'm worried about it defrosting in time. Should I just buy a fresh one?

I'd go with fresh, unless you it's under 8 lbs it probably won't defrost.

You don't have to defrost it. You can cook it frozen if you need to.

If you've managed to forget to thaw your turkey, there's no reason to despair. You can cook the turkey still frozen. And here's the kicker --It's actually safer because there are no uncooked juices that can spill on the preparation area. You'll need to cook it considerably longer than you would if you'd remembered to defrost it -- about five hours at 325 Fahrenheit (162 Celsius) for a 12 to14 pound (5 to 6 kilogram) turkey to get it to the recommended internal temperature of 165 to 185 Fahrenheit (73 to 85 Celsius).
If you want to thaw it relatively quickly, there are several versions of the Cold Water defrosting method. http://www.butterball.com/tips-how-tos/how-tos/thaw
Cold-Water Thawing:
Thaw breast side down, in unopened wrapper, in enough cold water to cover it completely. Change the water frequently to keep the turkey chilled. Estimate a minimum thawing time of 30 minutes per pound for a whole turkey.

With turkey still in the packaging, place your turkey in a 5-gallon bucket and fill with cold water. The best place to do this is in the bathtub or shower since handling a 5-gallon bucket in your sink isn’t very easy. Dump and replace the cold water in your bucket every 3-hours. This will ensure the water doesn’t get to room-temperature and build-up bacteria on your turkey. After about 6-hours, your turkey should be thawed. Pour out the water, rinse the turkey, and pat dry with paper towels. The turkey Alton was using was like 14-pounds {and he doesn’t recommend going larger than that because the bird won’t cook evenly} so if you have a smaller turkey, it will probably take less time.

Wow I never knew you could defrost a turkey like that. I decided to splurge and buy the fresh turkey breast since it is just DH and I this year. Thanks for the tips tho!
