Re: Cutting your own Christmas tree
Lewin $30. It's great, but get there early. We had an issue last year that we got there well before they closed but they wouldn't let us out on the truck. We had to buy pre-cut and the damn thing actrually died in a week and I had to get a new one.
ETA: We've gotten them there many times before that but just know they are not the more friendly or accommodating peopl

Cutting your own Christmas tree
We go to lewins. $30 any tree... Will be there this weekend! It's usually one hell of a hunt bc the trees aren't the greatest but we have fun regardless.

Yeah, they put them so on top of each other that they have a lot of bald spots where they touched other trees, and 2 years ago a lot of the trees had a lot of brown leaves and looked diseased.
I love the experience of going out there, but I am all about Home Depot now

Re: Cutting your own Christmas tree
I went to Lewins on Saturday and the trees were $30. It was a lot of fun and there were so many trees to choose from. I went to a different farm last year and came back empty handed since I didn't like any of the trees.

Re: Cutting your own Christmas tree
Went to Lewin's yesterday and I thought there were tons of trees to choose from! But it was freezing out and we had 2-yr-old DS with us so needless to say we made a quick decision! $30 any size tree.

Re: Cutting your own Christmas tree
We went to Shamrock last year and had a great experience. There were a lot of trees to choose from, the staff was super helpful and it's not so huge that you have to ride a truck around the field.
We went to Lewin's the year before and hated the whole experience. Much too crowded and the trees were terrible, imo.

Been to Shamrock 3 years in a row with DS....he LOVES it there & asked if we were going to ride the "train" they have and if he would get an ornament from Santa again! (we always slip something to Santa to give him!). They are super nice....free hot chocolate & popcorn....a little pricey on the tree but they last forever and are really nice.

We go to Mike's in Manorville www.mikestreefarm.com Very friendly, and they had a huge selection pretty late in the game when we went last year!
