FTWM and pumping...
I have a job that I basically run around and fix things so it is getting hard to carve out time to pump. I was doing really well when I first started and pumping a good amount. Now it's lucky if I can get 4 oz. one day I wasn't able to pump at all. I feel like my supply is declining. I have my own office but its in a busy hall and people are always knocking. I actually almost had someone walk in. After that I'm never relaxed 100%.
Anyone ever recover from declined output? I really want to continue bf if I can. But I am afraid I'm gonna have to stop. And that makes me sad.

yes, eat well, hydrate and try fenugreek. If possible pump longer/more often when you are not working to make up for missed pumps and icrease supply.

FTWM and pumping...
Can you put a sign on your door, or wear a nursing cover in case someone barges in?
Drink a ton of water. But unless you find time to pump your supply WILL suffer. You can always nurse when you're home and formula feed when you're away.

FTWM and pumping...
I go back to work in 2 weeks, I work in a busy health center and even though I have my own office I am nervous someone with a key ( security guard or housekeeping) may barge in, so I plan on putting my chair at the back of the door when I pump so in case anyone tries to open the door they won't be able to come in.

Re: FTWM and pumping...
I pump once a day at work religiously and I'm still noticing a slow decline in my supply. I'm trying to keep the pump on longer and let her nurse longer when I'm with her. I will say...I did notice with DD1 when this happened if I drank more water and ate a lot of oatmeal it helped...but maybe by like 1-2 ounces.
Isn't it a law that every company has to have a place for a nursing mother to pump? We have a "Mother's Room" here so it really makes pumping much easier.

This is me too. My office has an electrical closet and they come in all the time. I can't put a sign cause its a patient / visitor hallway. And my staff ignore those signs anyway. I'm just going to have to find a way.
Thx. !

Don't be so shy. If people are going to rudely barge in, let them be greeted with a free show. They will never barge in again.

Re: FTWM and pumping...
Staying hydrated is big for me! I have never tried the fenugreek. When pumping at work I just close and lock my door and hang a sign that I am pumping. I can understand how you are not relaxed after having someone almost walk in on you. I would be nervous as well.
