Quick question... crockpot sweet and sour meatballs
Can I make the meatballs w/ raw meat, and if so do I need to brown them first or can I make them and throw in slow cooker with the combined grape jelly and chili sauce? or am I better off buying precooked frozen meatballs, and if yes, what brand is good? Thanks- just looking to make my life easier with my crazy work schedule.

I made these one time and they were great. Celetano meatballs (first time I have ever used frozen meatballs but since it was swedish style and covered in the sauces it totally worked).
I didnt do crockpot. I mixed a jar of heinz chili sauce and a can of cranberry sauce on the stove top, threw the frozen meatballs in and cooked for a while, done, easiest app ever!

I liked the Cooked Perfect frozen meatballs. I always use the Swedish meatballs when I make the cocktail meatballs with grape jelly and chili sauce. They hold up really well in the slow cooker. They are sold in 2 lb bags (64 meatballs per bag).
They have Italian and turkey meatballs, too, that I've used for other purposes and that are also good.
