I don't recall the museum being in an area where there are hotels. We used starwood points and stayed at the Sheraton Downtown Philadelphia. It was a very comfortable stay and a super short drive to the museum. We were also able to walk around Center City.
We have also stayed at Westin using points. It was also great.
I love Philly! DH is not much a fan though.

we stayed at the Raddison it was amazing! we loved the please touch it was great

DOwntown Marriott I think it was called. It was definitely the Marriott. Very nice hotel!

We like the Marriott and the Hyatt Regency at Penn's Landing. Marriott is a little more centrally located but the Penn's Landing one is on the water and it can be nice to walk around over there too.
