transition to whole milk
I started a slow transition at about 10.5 months, so that they were on full milk by a little before 12 months. The first week I replaced 1 oz of formula with milk in the bottle, the second week 2 oz and so on. I found this to be a better way than going right over to milk. Less chance of constipation.

Re: transition to whole milk
With Lara when she hit a year old we went cold turkey and just gave her milk instead of her formula. She had no problem adjusting and she had a milk protein allergy. I plan on doing the same with Aidan.

transition to whole milk
Started the transition at just about 11 months. 1oz milk 7oz formula for a couple of days, the 2/6, 3/5, 4/4, 5/3, etc. I also switched over to straw cups then too (DS already had them for water, so we just started using them for the formula/milk) he had 3 bottles a day so I started with the mid day one, then the morning then the night. By the time he was all on milk he was off the bottles too!!

Re: transition to whole milk
Exactly 12 months we went cold turkey over to whole milk. Put the same amount of milk in each bottle as we did formula, After we ditched bottles I stopped measuring ounces of milk and just gave her a sippy with meals.

transition to whole milk
With both my boys I introduced whole milk at 11 months. I would do 1 bottle of milk a day and the rest were formula bottles. Each week we would add another bottle and not give a formula one. Until they got use to it. Although my second son did not adjust so fast, so I would add a little bit of the yogurt juice Gerber has, and he would drink all of it! Now he drinks his milk plain.
