moderate runners.....

how long after birth were you running like you had been before getting pregnant?

i would run a few times a week for about 30 minute or 3 miles. i haven't run since the very beginning of my pregnancy. how long do you think it will take me to get back to where i was?

Re: moderate runners.....

I did my first run about 8 weeks after having my baby, I did 4 miles no problem. I usually run about 3 miles, 9-10min/mi.

I did workout up until I gave birth, but stopped running at either 6 or 7 months bc it was just too uncomfortable for me.

moderate runners.....

I'd say by about 8 weeks pp I was running again! It didn't take long to get endurance back. I think it just comes back to you!!! I did start out slow initially but I got my endurance back pretty quickly!

Re: moderate runners.....

i started intervals running/walking at about 6 weeks. I started walking with the stroller at about 2 weeks PP and kept doing that so that by 6 wks i was able to do light running/walking. by three months after my first DD i did a 10k. i also exercised (not run) during my pregnancy.
