My dog is vomiting
Hello ladies,
I have a shih-tzu that is around 2-3 yrs old (his a rescue). We had Saki for close to year and always been very healthy. Saki, every once in a while would vomit a clear nasty smell discharge. I read about it and apperantly was an empty stomach...which I believe because Saki is a picky eater and dosen't eat much....fast foward to about a month ago he vomited again, this time with a little bit of blood. We took him to the vet and that was taken care of. Now last night he stared vomitting something dark brown...now I'm wondering what can it be now? I have an appt tonight with his vet.
Anyone have experienced this? I have no idea what to expect.
TIA! any advice is helpful.

That's what I was thinking.. maybe old blood from the belly or intestine.. or could it be dirt? Hope the little one feels better.

My dog is vomiting
I'm not really sure what it could be but I just wanted to say that I hope he's okay and it clears up soon.

Re: My dog is vomiting
We have a dog with a sensitive stomach, and have dealt with the same. We feed him twice a day instead of once, and give him a snack at 9pm - a banana - to make sure he's got something in his stomach overnight.
We just actually took him to the vet monday because of this and he had a lot of gas due to irritation over some plastic he ate a few days ago. We have him on a pill twice a day and some stuff by mouth that's supposed to settle his stomach.
People are telling me they give their dogs Pepto sometimes, but I wouldn't do that without an ok from my vet first.
Good luck, I hope it clears up.
