Re: beneful dog food-please read!

OMG! Last summer Shamrock was admitted to the hospital for the same symptoms- Bloody diarrhea, throwing up, lethogic and he was eating Beneful at the time. It was one of the only foods that he didnt turn his nose up at. We changed his food and he has been ok since. We just thought that he couldnt eat that specific brand.
This is scary!

Re: beneful dog food-please read!

I just realized I never finished my comment (got side tracked)

I had just started giving him this food again because he was being picky again. Because it was one of the few he would eat. I need to find something else he will eat.

He is a pain in the butt with food.

maybe try adding a little wet food to his meal--that might do the trick! wet food helps to keep them hydrated too! :)

oh boy!!
foods w/the first 3 ingredients that are not fillers/by products are the best. you want a food that the first ingredients are a meat like lamb, chicken, beef, etc. maybe he will like those better---they are more expensive though---i use innova and have used wellness--maybe he wasn't being 'picky' maybe the food is bothering his stomache? so he doesn't want to eat it..

.1of mine has a sensitive stomach and sometimes won't eat a meal--i was getting nervous but my vet says--when he's hungry he will eat!

I was giving him Natural Balance LID and he loved it for months. He would go crazy when he heard the can opener. All of the sudden he decided he didnt like it anymore. The only way I can get him to eat it is mixing can spray cheese in it. I dont like to do that too often though. For a while he would eat Yogurt or cottage cheese mixed in. Now he doesnt want that either.

OMG!! My dog got really sick on this food when it first came out. I bought it for him as a "treat" b/c I only used to buy organic foods, and he got very sick. He didn't have it more than two days, I threw it out.
