My first pregnancy was a twin pregnancy, and one stopped growing like yours did. It is such an odd place to be because you DO mourn the loss of that baby, but the schedule and everything marches on as it should for the survivor. My son is 5 now, and I still occasionally think of what another one of him would have been like..
I am sorry for the loss of baby A, but I do hope you are able to hold onto to some positive thinking, and that baby B is here and meant to stay.

I know exactly how you feel :( I lost one when I was pregnant with Thomas at 7weeks...
You want to be excited but your also miserable and scared at the same time...
Ill continue to pray as I have since I met you...This miracle baby inside you will continue to thrive and grow---STAY POSITIVE!!!!!

Thank you everyone for your thoughts, suggestions, everything ....
After my next sono (on Wednesday) I will be updating. I just have so many mixed emotions. I can just so clearly imagine getting bad news because it's so fresh in my mind and brings back so many terrible memories. What it comes down to is, my appointment was half bad, but in an optimist's world it was half GOOD, which is what I plan to focus on.
I realized I didn't get a picture so I called the dr's office today and explained how down I was feeling and that I would love if they could email me a pic of baby B so I could have something visual to be hopeful about. She said she would try on Monday. Holy hormones........... After I hung up I cried! 
Thanks to those who gave bed rest suggestions. I spent the day napping, watching tv, and sending my dh out for ice-cream. Tomorrow will be different. I sulked enough for one day and trying to focus on energy on looking forward to seeing our baby again in a few days.. who by the way will be named with the letter J after my mother in law who passed too soon.

I have sort of a history similar to you. I was a nervous wreck for most of my pregnancy. I have been waiting and waiting to pass on these positive visualization CD's I have. They helped me SO much and there is one for each trimester. Do you want them? PM me your address and I can send:)

PennyCat, I'm so sorry that you are going through this. And am sorry for your loss of Baby A. Sending lots of positive thoughts your way as you wait for your next sono. A miracle baby... Thats exactly what I still say about my little angel. I still look at her and think about how blessed we are to have her and how close we were to not having her. Take it day by day. The worrying doesnt go away. I learned to accept the fact that I would never go a day (being pregnant) without having the fear of it suddenly ending. The gift at the end is TOTALLY worth all of the pain and suffering. You don't forget the past but you begin to accept it because you have something so wonderful to brighten your day for the rest of your life. Good luck.

i am so so very sorry for the loss of baby A  i know its sad because you lost one baby but your still happy because baby B is doing well.

I totally understand your fear. I am really sorry to hear of the loss of Baby A but I think Baby B is hanging in there and growing and thriving because he is a MIRACLE!!! Keep praying, keep thinking positive...he is strong.
