my DD doesnt let me do her hair
my DD is 19 months and she has recently developed a mullet.  now that her hair is long enough, id like to maybe make a ponytail or pigtails every so often, but i guess because her whole life i havent really bothered with her hair, she now hates to have her hair touched. this morning i managed to put a ponytail in, but it was difficult. does it get easier as they get older? any tips or tricks to offer?

I would love some advice on this too. DD still doesn't have a lot of hair, but she looks like a crazy person half the time b/c it goes everywhere. She will not let me put it in pigtails or clip a bow in her hair - she just pulls it out

I think it's just the age. It helps me to sit DD in front of the TV or give her something to play with that she's not normally allowed to have like my cell phone.

yep this. She has a chair for the living room and its the perfect sit in front of me while I do your hair. But yes that age was rough. I remember that I could/would do her hair while she slept!!!! LOL I make awesome ponytails while she sleeps. Its way too long now but back then I was a pro!

Maybe put her bows within sight and let her pick them out? I have a board with all of DDs bows right above the changing table where I sit her to do her hair. She is obsessed with them and will tell m which one she wants to wear. Doing pig tails is more difficult, but I always manage to get a ponytail in. And like a PP said, letting her play with something different. For DD, that's her cream lol.

My DD is a control freak so it's rare I can do her hair.
And if I do pigtails or clips she will just rip them out.
She does NOTHING against her will.
It's an age thing I think.
And a girl thing!

I give my DD my iPhone to play with. It's the only time she's ever allowed to play w it.
