Food aversions and cooking for DH/SO
How in the hell do you do it? Everything in my fridge is making me sick. Nothing seems appealing to me. I have to eat plain toast with butter or saltines just to get something in my system.
The thought of cooking for my DH is making me feel queasy. I don't feel like cooking anything. I'm totally feeling like a bad wife right now.
Any tips?

Explain to DH/SO that this is (usually) only temporary and that he's going to have to fend for himself for a few weeks. Feel better!!

Food aversions and cooking for DH/SO
If DH wanted something that grossed me out, he cooked it for himself. If I had to go through the all day sickness and horrible food aversions, it's only fair he has to cook his own eggs!

If this happens, and it rarely has, DH will cook for himself and DD and HE will make me what I want (bagel or whatever). But we both cook, no one person has that role here.

I too feel like a horrible wife.
There's no cooking, no cleaning and we do our laundry seperately already which is good because I've had stuff laying in baseket out of the hamper for 2 weeks.
I don't think I've cooked since December honestly lol. Between the holidays and DH going away for work that month I probably only cooked twice then too!
I feel bad but DH's been helpful. He hasn't cooked cooked so much as picked up food for me. At this point, I'm getting very frustrated that I have very little appetite (which then makes me sick) and when I do eat it's nothing that I'm really enjoying or even want.

Food aversions and cooking for DH/SO
Yesterday was one of 3 dinners I've cooked since before Christmas. Luckily DH loves to cook so he's been doing it all.
Don't feel too bad. It will pass. There were a few weeks there where I barely got off the couch to shower. Between fatigue and food aversions it was a rough time. Hang in there it gets better!

I don't lol. DH gets what I can eat or he gets his own dinner.

You are not a bad wife. You are growing his child, and along with that comes food aversions and fatigue. He is a big boy and he can fend for himself. This is #2 for me, so DH learned a long time ago that he needs to eat what I want to eat, and that is basically the diet of a 5 year old - mac and cheese, pizza, pretty much anything with carbs and cheese! The good news is that it should pass when you get into your second trimester.

Re: Food aversions and cooking for DH/SO
With my first, the aversions were so bad. I couldn't cook so we ate out a lot, whatever I felt like that day. I could stand the sight of chicken in my fridge but KFC chicken was fine with me.

Re: Food aversions and cooking for DH/SO
Thanks girls.
I know I can't really help it, but I still feel bad. It also doesn't help that my DH doesn't even know how to boil water! I should've trained him early on lol.
He's a really bad eater so the thought of him feeding for himself is a bit scary! Thanks again for the support.

God!! Me too!!! Gluten free pizza works for my cravings, but it's nowhere near as good as a grandma slice!!!! I eat alot of nachos and quesadillas on corn tortillas.

Shouldn't last too long. He should understand. Hang in there...
I still have aversions to some foods when I smell it but most will be ok.
