IBS and Probiotics
Has anyone with IBS found that taking a probiotic supplement helped? If so, please reccomend which one. TIA!

I also use Align and it really helps. You can buy it at CVS but it is much cheaper at Costco.

Do you have IBS with diarrhea or with constipation? I have it (it swings between the 2) and my doctor suggested probiotics but I was nervous it would make diarrhea worse.

For a while they were helping me but then it seemed like my body got accustomed to them and they don't help me anymore. I've never tried Align though, maybe I will.

I also have both. I was just hoping the probiotics would help regulate the 2 extremes. I am currently pregnant so I am going to talk with my doctor about Align. Thanks!

Target, Costco, BJ's, any drug store.
They do make a generic now at Target but I found it does not work the same.
It actually made me worse.
Stick with the Align.
It's pricey but it helps

I've suffered with diarrhea prone IBS all my life and the only thing that has helped me are probiotics. I take a brand called Digestive Advantage. I buy them on Amazon but you can get them at CVS, Target, etc

I had asked for DH - he started taking Align right after the original post and says it has really helped a lot! Thanks for the recommendation!
