Does anyone have a good chili recipe they love?
I'm looking to add some ground turkey to my diet for the protein and love the idea of chili with beans, but I'm not really a cook and don't have a trusted recipe.
Anyone have a recipe they love?

You can add the turkey to it as well
Hearty Bean and Veggie Chili

Can Green Chilies • 1 Small Jalapeño Pepper ~ Chopped {Optional} • 1 28oz. Can Diced Tomatoes • 1 29 oz. Can Tomato Puree • 2 Tbsp. Taco Seasoning • 2tsp. Ground Cumin • 2 tsp. Salt Instructions 1. Prepare dry beans by either soaking them over night or quick soaking them per the directions on the package. Toss them into the bottom of the crockpot along with ¼ cup of dry lentils. 2. Put all the beans in the crockpot. 3. Chop the peppers, onions and garlic and toss into crockpot. 4. Chop the jalapeño 5. Pour in the Tomato Puree and Diced Tomatoes 6. Then the Taco Seasoning, Salt and Cumin 7. Give it a good mix and cover let it sit on low for about 9 hours or until the veggies and beans are nice and tender. 8. Serve it hot and enjoy!
Just an FYI- I used canned beans instead of dry ones.

We have one candidate! Thanks for the recipe, that gives me an idea of ingredients and how much to put in. But I'm the only person in the world that doesn't have a crockpot

I love adding a can of organic pumpkin purée to my chili. I also add about half a beer to my chili.

That recipe sounds good!
I keep hearing about pumpkin chili...does it make it sweeter, or just thicker?

Skinnytaste has a ground turkey pumpkin chilli.
It sounds weird but, you can't taste the pumpkin and it is really, really good.

I think a little of both. When i make regular chilli, I add brown sugar. With the pumpkn, there is no sugar. It's really so good.

Ooh thanks, I forgot about Skinny Taste!
I think if you counteract the sweetness of the pumpkin with the spices, you probably wouldn't even notice, no? And it would probably make it thicker, yum.

I keep thinking about getting one but I have a dog that is a counter surfer and I can't cordon off the kitchen. SHE would probably love it. I'm not sure I'd ever get to eat anything I created with her around though.
