Is it too late to have an accountant prep my taxes?
We usually do our own taxes. This year, we started doing it on turbo tax and realized that our taxes this year are more complicated and we need professional advice. I called an accountant that someone recommended and they told me they are booked unless I file an extension. I can't do an extension because we owe $$$$ and I need to know ow much to pay.
Anyway, is it hopeless to try to get in to see someone good? At this point should we just do turbo tax and cross our fingers?

My accountant is good but I am out in NJ. I would ask around, I think you might be able to find a good accountant and get an appointment. Check other areas that you can drive that arent too too far.

No. We use Roy Cooper in West Babylon. He's good, I'm sure he can fit you in.

We use Kara McCormick from Saranto Calamas. She is wonderful and she is a vendor here too. i just did my taxes today!!!
The office is located in Port Jefferson.

I would call March 16th see about setting something up. March 15th corporate tax returns are due and it is going to be crazy in any office ( I used to work in one). You should definitely be able to find someone to do it. I would just have the last 2 years printed and bring them with you in case they need them. I know we requested that when we had new clients.

We usually just drop ours off - I never wait for an appointment. We drop it and they do it when they have time. I usually get a call about a week or less later. That might be an option for you as well.

We use Daniela Samela in Deer Park. He is FANTASTIC and will accommodate your schedule. Def give him a call!!
