Soo confused need your girls expertise..

Hey ladies I kinda dropped off the boards for awhile I've been TTC for 5 months and just felt like I was obsessing so much over it that I needed a break from it all just so I could try to relax my mind and let nature take it course. Anyway, I decided to chart my temps this month for the first time ever just so I could put my mind at ease and see that I am infact ovulating and I'm so confused so maybe you girls could help me figure this out. After I charted my temps fertility friend is telling me that I ovulated on friday March 8th (cd 11) but my temp that day had only increased by 0.17 I thought that it had to be at least a 0.4 increase?? So the following day which was cd 12 I had a temp increase of 0.38 so I originally thought that I had O'd on cd 12 not 11 but fertility friend is telling otherwise and i'm so confused. Anyway I posted my chart you can find it in my album please tell me if you think I for sure O'd on cd 11. Also, starting this wednesday (cd 16 or 5dpo) I woke up with killer boob pain and now they are very full and still very painful I thought it was so strange because I never have tender breasts this early in my cycle. My breast tenderness always starts about 4 days before AF is due. I didn't know what to think of this pain because it was so different so I was just pushed it off to my body messing with me again but now since I see that I possibly ovulated earlier than usual its kind of making me wonder. Again, I am not getting my hopes up but I would love opinions on my chart and O day thanks girls!!

Hello! This was my first month temping also, and from what I understand the temp rise (of around 0.4 or higher, like you stated) takes place the day AFTER you have ovulated. So if your temp increased on CD 12, that means that you most likely ovulated the day befores- which is why ff marked cd11 as your O day. I think some people experience dips in temp the day they ovulate (I did not) which would be nice because it would give you a head's up that O is about to take place, but the only way you can really tell you O'd isn't unitl the temp increase the following day.

Yes it looks like you you O'd on CD11. When you have a temp increase and it stays high for 3 days that means that you ovulated. The temp increase does not mean you ovulate that day it just confirms that you ovulated the day prior (but the temp has to stay above the coverline for 3 days for it to be a confirmed ovulation). Does that makes sense?

So based on your chart you are 5DPO.

I agree with everyone else! And I've also read that if your temp stays up right before af is due that you have a good chance of being pregnant. I haven't done the temping yet so I dunno. Hope this is your month!

I think I might try temping. Where did you buy your thermometer? I'm mid cycle- I'm pretty sure I Oed yesterday. Should I wait to start temping?
