Re: heartburn
I have it bad too with acid reflux for added fun. Both my Dr.and OB said I can take Pepcid. It does help but today has been a bad day even with it and some Tums too.

Re: heartburn
I got a prescription from my doctor for something stronger. The tums were not helping at all and I felt like I was constantly taking them. I now take one to two pills of this medication and I feel so much better. I also find if I drink a little milk that helps too.

Re: heartburn
I have it too - drinking a glass of milk or eating some ice cream seems to help.

I don't drink milk so I eat a spoonful of vanilla ice cream when it's bad and it actually helps. Good luck.

I am 22 weeks and having the same issue . Severe heartburn with acid reflux as well. Tums and milk are just not cutting it anymore. my midwife told me to take papaya extract pills. It is a natural ant-acid. I am heading to the health food store tomorrow. Let you know if it helps

My ob said tums don't do anything at all and suggested pepcid complete. It's a life saver for me through 3 pregnancies.
