Steam Floor Cleaners/Hoover Floor Cleaner
Hello,
We are moving into a new house that has hard wood floors throughout. I was looking into hard floor cleaning options.
Do any of you use a steam cleaner for your wood floors? or, the Hoover floormate hard floor cleaner? Are either items worth the $?
TIA

We bought the Oreck one and really like it. A lot of people on LIF (and other sites) said that the Shark broke too easily.

I second the Oreck. Hated my Shark. Oreck is great, long cord, huge water tank, steam output is great.

I have a shark steam mop and I really like it. It is light weight and works well.

Just be careful because theoretically you should not be using steam on your hardwood floors. They could warp. Maybe not now but in the future.

I was just going to say this, steam for hardwood not good. We use a water/vinegar solution and a soft mop. Remember hardwoods can scratch and warp if there is too much water on them
