Re: Would you be interested in this type of LIF event?
Happy to see mostly positive responses. We will definitely plan this event for the end of this month or next month.
Thanks for your input!

Re: Would you be interested in this type of LIF event?
My company has a lot of life coaches as clients and they're not all great or all bad, just like any industry. I look at things like this in a more casual manner and would listen and take away what I thought had value and leave the rest.
It doesn't sound like marriage counseling for relationships in trouble that you'd want someone with heavy credentials for. More like a way to continue learning and perhaps help make myself and my husband better people with a strong relationship. We should all try to improve ourselves, this could be a tool to use for that.

Yes this exactly! Giving you tools to better communicate with each other. Also she spoke about love languages and understanding what your partner needs/wants better. The men that came opened up after they felt comfortable and shared a lot with their partner that after the class said they never heard them say before. That was eye opening. But maybe you need someone to make you think about these things. It's not like love languages come up in every day conversation.

DH would never go to something like that and personally I dont think it sounds like I could learn much from a stranger about my life/relationship.

No offense to Michelle Bianco or anyone, but a "life coach" does not necessarily have the credentials or training qualifying them to give out such advice. So no, I personally would not be interested.

Would you be interested in this type of LIF event?
BTW-I just joined LIFamilies after being on LIWeddings for so long but I felt compelled to join this chat. I am looking forward to an event like this as my DH and i have been working with Michelle before and after our wedding. We learned early that so much therapy out there is about the past and present and all about focusing the couple toward healing. Relationship Coaching is more about helping us look forward so we can learn why we relate to each other the way we do. MY DH said it best, just a football coach talking to his players about how to run faster, jump higher, throw better. So, Michelle is talking about how to communicate better, how to love better, laugh harder, and play nicer with each other. Its pretty cool to learn! look forward to seeing everyone if this event is schedule -N:)
