Unconventional but Amazing Brownie Recipe !

I made black bean brownies one day and they were super mushy and beanie tasting.  Maybe it was the recipe I used. I will have to give this one a whirl.

Unconventional but Amazing Brownie Recipe !
To my taste buds, this recipe doesn't taste like a "healthy" recipe. It has a a very rich, chocolatey flavor, but I guess it depends on individual preference.

I tried it once - well DH did because he is always trying to watch what he eats- it was so nasty.
Maybe we had a different recipe, but it was nothing like a real brownie.

I was going to ask if you can taste the beans. DH is Gluten Free but hates black beans. I will try them!

I made these brownies today expecting to hate them but OMG, they are amazing! I couldn't even tell there were beans in there, it just tasted like a really fudgy brownie! Thanks so much for sharing!

What kind of chocolate chips do you use? I used enjoy life, which are not as chocolatey as some of the other brands...

I used sunspire 65% cacao and also threw in some Nativas sweetened raw cacao nibs.

OK- right away DH knew they weren't "normal" brownies. They came out very soft and fudgy.
I think I needed to cook them longer.
However, because they were so loose and fudgy, he asked if they were flourless because of the lack of the cake consistency and I said yes. He said "but they are good though".
When I told him about the black beans he had no clue! I think they are good, they do taste chocolatey and fudge like.
They are edible and no one would realize they have black beans, but they are not replacing real brownies for me. I love my ghiradelli boxed brownies LOL!!!

Yeah, I needed to cook mine for a couple more minutes. Then they held together well. I agree they are not like " regular" brownies, but since I don't eat white sugar or white flour, they are a great substitute for me
