We are moving to Indian Trail but we also looked in Waxhaw. Although both areas are referred to as "Charlotte" they are both in Union County - think of it kind of as NYC is to Charlotte as Long Island is to Union County. Both towns have great schools, low taxes and big amazing houses for not a lot of money!

Good friend moved there. Loves it. Been there 8 years now. Beautiful home .. Purchased cottage on a lake too .. A boat .. Living the good life because both their jobs pay NY money.

Ballantyne is my fave. If house hunting zip is 28277.
We bought in waxhaw since my dh worked around there. Zip is 28173.
