If you have a membership to the NYC zoos
which one did you get?
The Family Basic is 139, but Family premium is 189. Premium includes parking.
Trying to figure out if getting the premium is worth it.

Parking is $15 at the Bronx Zoo, not sure of the others. That alone made it worth it to get the Premium, IMO. Although I had a coupon and the Premium was only $169.

Received a direct mailing for $20 off family ($119 after discount) or family premium membership ($169 after discount). Details are available online, basically the premium is a much better plan with unlimited access to attractions (carousel, butterfly garden, asia monorail, 4d theater), also unlimited free premium parking (park at the Asia gate). Family covers 3 adults plus any number of children in your household. Membership is about 80% tax deductible as charitable donation.

Appears that mailing was targeted but name doesn't seem to have to match.
Can print membership card instantly.
Membership also at NY aquarium (flood damaged, not yet reopened), Central park Zoo, Prospect Park Zoo, Queens Zoo.

You want the $189 one. It gives unlimited parking and the attractions. When we go we do all the extras the smaller one only includes a limited number. With the higher pass you can get unlimited rides on the carousel, monorail, you can do the dora show, congo, butterfly area etc. We get a lot of use out of it.

I got the one for $189 - I had the same one last year and it was soooooo worth it! When I filled out the application both times, I selected 6 children... So for $189 it's admission for me, 2 guests and up to 6 kids. I don't think it gets any better than that!!!

We do the premium. Worth it. Not only for free parking and getting into all exhibits, but because you can add other adult members to your group and have up to 4 children listed.

We do Premium too. It is has free parking at the Bronx Zoo and NY Aquarium. It also included the attractions. I have used it 3 times already in the last 6 weeks and it has almost paid for itself... I have it for 3 adults and 3 kids.

We have the family premium. I listed my sister as the other adult, then I have me, and a guest. That way she can take her family without me having to go. It's great!

the premium def pays for itself very quickly..i refuse to go to the bronx zoo without it now...esp bec all the extra fees to the attractions are included..not to mention the free parking!
***QUESTION:***** any way i can renew this year and get it for $169...it will bother me if i have to renew for $189 when i know people are buying it for $169!!

Premium. Not only that but, you get into all of the other attractions at the zoo. I don't think you do with the other one. And you get a guest pass. So worth it, IMO

I signed myself up and the left the two other adults as "guests" this way my husband can be a guest...or my mom...or my dad or my mil...or even a friend  I like that I wants locked in to a certain adult that can come with me!

yes if you put you ad your mom on it then you or your mom can take your son and your dad and mom can go together , you and your husband can take your son.
the names listed need to show id - the people listed as guest just go but a card needs to have at least one name and a guest can not use the card alone

So.. If I enroll me as primary, Sister in Law as guest and leave the third adult slot open as "guest" , list each of our kids, either family can use the passes? Us with me and hubby as "guest" and our children for a visit, then SIL and hubby as "guest" with their kids?? sorry for so many questions just want to make the most of the membership! Thanks!

Yes. I do this with a friend and we split it. I put myself and her down and 6 kids. That way if we do together we can bring all kids. We can go separate with dh or we can bring other friends and their kids.

We have the premium. It is so worth it! I have myself and DH listed and then one guest, but they never ask for ID For more than one person. We went yesterday with my brother, and all they asked was how many people.
The parking is included plus all the attractions. I'd never go there without getting the membership.
