What can I do with extra frosting?
I have a ton of leftover frosting from DS's birthday cupcakes. I want to use it to make something for Mother's Day. no cakes or cupcakes b/c that is what EVERYONE brings (literally, whatever I bring is the only dessert that is not cake.)
Any idea of things I can make? It is chocolate frosting, btw

What about cake pops or truffles?
This recipe from Bakerella is for red velvet, but I assure you chocolate on chocolate is soooooooooo good!

I know I can eat icing right out of the jar! Lol 
How about putting it into a bowl and serving it as a dip for fruit - strawberries, pineapple, grapes, bananas etc. You could even do little pieces of pound cake, marshmallows or graham crackers.

What can I do with extra frosting?
haha me too APT!! But DH and I are back on Weight Watchers so I am trying hard to refuse! (I really don't like chocolate frosting that much anyway). Making it like a dip is a good idea!
Will cake balls/pops work w/homemade frosting? i have always wanted to try them.

Even better than canned if you ask me! 
There's really no rules when it comes to cake pops. Store bought cake, boxed cake mix, cake from scratch- they ALL taste really good! I haven't met a single person who doesn't like these things. Let me know if you have any questions! I've made so many by this point I could do it in my sleep.

Thanks halfbaked. Unfortunately, my frosting was moldy  so I had to go with what I had - french vanilla cake with whipped cream cheese frosting. So they were kinda bland but still pretty good with the chocolate on them.
