Dubai, anyone?
Hi all,
I am truly interested in planning a trip to Dubai but just have no point of reference as to where to even begin. I feel so overwhelmed.
I guess what I would like to know is what is there to do in Dubai? Has any of you been? Or is there a resource guide out there that I haven't found?
The trip will be myself, DH and DD who will be 5 then.
TIA

Re: Dubai, anyone?
Dubai was amazing! I love architecture though. Shopping is fantastic. Food was awesome. We took a boat around Palm Island, had our jaw drop visiting Burj Al Arab, went skiing at Ski Dubai. I only went for a 4 day stopover but wished we had more time in Dubai. Spas are TOP notch. I loved the ambiance everywhere we went whether it was a simple coffee shop, bar or restaurant. It is expensive but I thought it was worth every penny.
The resort we stayed at also had a gorgeous pool. It was hot there so it was refreshing to be able to dip in the pool. We stayed at the Ritz but I thought the One and Only resort and the Madinet Jumeriah looked spectacular. If I ever go back, I would stay at one of those. If money were no object, I'd stay at Burj Al Arab but when I went, I think rooms started at like $5k but we were there at some peak middle eastern holiday time. Maybe it is cheaper now.

Shopping, dining, skiing, golf, and amazing accommodations... I work with tour groups and guides that specialize in Dubai and other luxury travel. It would be my pleasure to help you plan an exciting excursion to Dubai or anywhere else you'd like to go.

My favorite part of Dubai are the old souks.
I stayed at the Atlantis, which is out on Palm Jumeirah. They have a water park on property and a lot of kid activities. It's not the swankiest place and not in the hub of everything, though, if that's what you're going for.
