DH is the better cook but he gets home, after a one hour commute, at 6 (the earliest). It would be difficult for him to start cooking, especially since we have an almost 3 year old. At the very least I try to get the meal prepped. I've also been working hard on expanding the meals that I can have ready and on the table when he gets home. It takes me two times as long to chop and do many of the things he can do that it makes me crazy. The meals aren't the caliber of his but he appreciates the effort I put in. On the weekends DH does all the cooking. He will also sometimes chop things up the night before if he knows something requires a lot of labor.
